Finally another page!!

So for the last few months I’ve been busy setting up an online comic book shop which, if I’m honest, is a fair amount more work than I’d anticipated haha but hey if you’re looking for back issue comics check it out!! www.comicbookshop.co.nz
It’s good to know that once I finally get this finished they’ll definitely be one comic book shop that’ll stock it… hopefully🙂

Anyway, so I’ve finally managed to get the latest page done:

With The Company managing to pull off the least covert op ever the big wigs at the White House will probably need to talk about it a bit… so that’s what we have here🙂

Next page should be here in a couple of weeks, see you then!

See you back here in a couple of weeks for the next page.

Okay so here’s the next page, sorry for the delay bills gotta get paid and that’s what I’ve been trying to do with a bit of freelance illustration stuff… which is a very nice segue – if you need any illustration or design work done, get in touch, you can check out some of the stuff I’ve been doing at www.drawnbyjp.com.

Anywho, so here’s the page:

Having king hit the Doc, Libby smashes everything up and heads outside to catch her lift home.. nice.

See you back here in a couple of weeks for the next page:)

Exhibition Time!!

For the last few weeks I’ve been working away like a crazy person getting a selection of prints and a comic book put together for a show!! Hot damn he’s having a bleedin’ show!!

Gavin Mouldey at Dittybox has kindly invited me to join him for a comic book based exhibition at his gallery in Island Bay.

As such he and I, under the cunning pseudonym ‘Robo-Squid Inc.’ will be hosting our exhibition opening at Dittybox Gallery, between 5-7pm Saturday 25th May.

Here’s the exhibition poster for you to feast your eyes upon:

And here’s an example of one of my prints that you’ll be able to view:

Chapter-1low

The prints I’m showing are all limited editions and will be available to purchase on the night and through http://www.comicbookproject.net after the show.

There will be wine and cheese/ nibble things available, though I would recommend getting there early if you want any wine as I know a few people coming that will no doubt turn up with a straw and demand a bottle… you know who you are… and to be fair Gav and I will probably have worked our way through the majority of it before anyone gets there anyway🙂

Here’s the Facebook page for the exhibition that has some additional info :

K+Lab Space Dirt Album Cover

I’ve just finished a selection of illustrations for K+lab’s up and coming dĂ©but album ‘Space Dirt’.

Here are my illustrations:

And here’s the final cover:

Spacedirt-art-V2

The background, lettering outline and keyboard lasers are all done by K+Lab (Caleb Cowie), the album will be released later this year through Junkfood Recordings.

Really pleased with how this came out and I look forward to doing more collaborations with Caleb in the future.

Having packed in the nine to five I’m now available for illustration and design work, if you’d like me to do something for you get in touch via the ‘Contact’ button above.
